MEET THE CREATOR It started with a need and a passion for good books. In 2011, our founder Tori Tissell, fresh out of design school and living under a mountain of debt, needed Christmas presents for her family. Remembering the books that had helped her through tough times before, the concept of the Pride and Prejudice Book Scarf was born, then mere weeks later, Storiarts. Our passion is to spread the love of great literature with tangible reminders of your favorite books, poems, and stories, because great literature can change the world. OUR STORY CONTINUES WITH LITWORLD Our audience attracts creative-minded, compassionate avid readers and writers, which is why we set out to find a long-term charity partner that cultivated a love of reading and writing worldwide. LitWorld is a non-profit organization dedicated to on-the-ground innovative solutions to tackling illiteracy worldwide. Based in 28 countries, LitWorld created three programs that stand today as the organization's core models: LitClubs, LitCamps, and World Read Aloud Day. Storiarts shares their vision to strengthen children and communities through the power of their own stories and to connect people with the love of books. Every Storiarts purchase helps children worldwide learn to read, write, and create. The next chapter in our story is helping kids write their own. Our Writing Gloves are made from American-made, super soft 100% cotton knit fabric. The open palm circumference is about 8" and the arm band is about 7" around. The inseam on these fingerless gloves have a decorative serged detail created from a contrasting, silky stretch thread and the outside seam has a gathered design for a more dramatic statement. Additional Details: The entire poem is not able to fit on one pair of gloves, but each glove has a different part to maximize the amount available to wear. Each pair of Writing Gloves comes with its own set of care instructions: Spot treat recommended or a gentle wash cycle in cool water. Hang or lay flat to dry. Iron ok.
