Taquen: Storks - woodcut in oak wood of flying storks. Inked and printed traditionally by hand with oil-based ink at Atelier Desmyter on a counterweight Albion press from the 1840s . Limited edition of 30 prints, signed and numbered in pencil, on cream colored Simili Japon paper with 2 deckled edges. Paper size 64 cm x 48 cm (25 1/4 inch x 19 inch), image size 54 cm x 38 cm (21 1/4 inch x 15 inch). This woodcut print edition was created during a visit of Taquen to Ghent (organized by Wallin') where he painted a large wall with similar flying storks (see last photo).
