The Storm even works underwater; its sound can be heard up to 50 feet away! The Storm's focused 3150 Hertz frequency is the most easily audible tone above other environmental noise. A whistle is essential for signaling above the noise of waves and white water. Remember that in most situations on the water, the Coast Guard requires a sound device such as a whistle.
