Stormfell sweater knitting pattern was born from a feeling, the need for something quiet and grounding. A handmade knit sweater to wear on ordinary days, yet still feels like a sma ll gesture of care. I had designed its older sibling, Albarn sweater, a while back: warm, bold and comforting, but too heavy for everyday wear. This one had to be different: lighter, softer, easier to reach for. The kind of knit that calms the mind with its rhythm, yet still makes you feel put together. Worked seamlessly from the top down, Stormfell features a relaxed drop-shoulder silhouette and a sculptural turtleneck – simple, but striking. Knitted in Laine x Novita DK and Novita Edith Silk Mohair, this knitting pattern creates a soft, airy, and elegant handmade knitwear project. I chose a dark blue that reminds me of home: a town tucked between two lakes, where the sky and water often blur into one.
