Available lengths: 150; 250; 500; 1000mm and 350-550mm adjustable Adjustable Stove PipeThe adjustable pipe allows the stove to be removed without dismantling the flue system. The adjustable MUST be used with another pipe which it slides into and secured to the required length with the locking band. The gap between the adjustable pipe and the fixed length pipe must be filled with Fire Cement or High Temperature Sealant. SAFETYVitreous stove pipe CANNOT be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls and MUST be installed at least 375mm (3 x diameter) away from any other combustible material (that includes fire rated plasterboard). The pipe and flue system should be swept annually. Your chimney sweep will inspect the soot and advise if this needs to be done more regularly. If the flue system cannot be accessed through the stove, a pipe with an access door is required. Most stoves have a removeable baffle (or throat) plate to allow for cleaning. INSTALLATIONWhen installing make sure stove pipe is installed with the smaller diameter pointing downward. This contains any condensates within the flue system and not pass to the outside of the pipe.The joint between the pipe and stove spigot can be filled with an appropriately sized fire proof rope and sealed with fire cement (or high temperature silicone). Vitreous stove pipe should have a friction fit joint that does not require sealing. For extra security, each joint can be coated with a jointing compound (fire cement or HT silicone). This makes sure that no condensate can escape and spoil the appearance of the pipe.Pipe is designed to be cut, but care must be taken to cover any exposed steel with high temperature paint as this will rust over time.When installing appropriate PPE should be worn at all times.
