3 college credits. Statistics are all around us, from weather forecasts, opinion polls, and school ratings to insurance pricing and the stock market. This course is designed to provide learners with a solid foundation in statistical concepts and techniques with a particular emphasis on their real-world applications. The course will cover the basics of descriptive and inferential statistics to prepare learners to use statistics in various fields, including business, science, and social sciences. Throughout the course, learners will have the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge to a variety of real-world problems. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to use statistics to make informed decisions, test hypotheses, and draw meaningful conclusions from data. The course is designed for students with little or no prior experience in statistics. It is suitable for students from a wide range of disciplines interested in learning how to apply statistical concepts and techniques in real-world settings.
