Strata SE1, the Elephant and Castle tower Londoners can't agree on, hand-painted in watercolour by Jen Russell-Smith. Built in 2010 with three wind turbines crowning its roof, it w as sold as a green landmark. The turbines have barely turned since, switched off after noise complaints from residents, and that same year it won the Carbuncle Cup for Britain's ugliest new building.
