Scott Lee had to decide whether to become a pro tennis player or a pro bass player while still a college student in Chapel Hill, N.C. He chose jazz and eventually moved to NY in the late 70s. Lee worked with Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Zoot Simms, Al Cohn, Freddie Hubbard, Red Rodney, Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano a.o. As his two previous releases SCCD 31649 One Thought and SCCD 31687 Leaving indicate Lee thrives in composing and performing music that transcends the conventional boundaries.
