You should carry a flashlight and it should be this one. We have carried a lot of lights over the years, for everything from finding lost items we drop to deescalating situations a nd Streamlight hit a home run on this one. Why do we like it? It's 350 lumens, which is a decent brightness, but the size is really what makes it a killer. Plus it can take either a CR123 (for the highest brightness) or a AA (if it's all you have in a pinch) and it includes a reversible pocket clip.
