Pale Horse is a white semisolid colourway. The undyed Striga has a cream-yellow base colour, Pale Horse is toned to a more neutral (off)-white. I named this colourway after the fou rth Horseman of the Apocalypse, named Death (Greek: Θᾰ́νᾰτος, Thánatos, Latin: Mŏrs or Thanatus), specifically their horse. The colour of Death's horse is written as pàllidus in Latin and as χλωρός (khlōrós, latinized as chlōrus) in the original Koine Greek (which can mean either pale/pallid (or green/greenish-yellow) in both languages. The colour is often translated as "pale", though "ashen", "pale green", and "yellowish green" are other possible interpretations. Based on the uses of the word in ancient Greek medical literature however, several scholars suggest that the colour reflects the sickly pallor of a corpse. Show more
