Miuras Mouse MiniThe Strike Pro Miuras Mouse Mini brings Maurizio “Miura” Carini's bucktail-and-soft-plastic concept to a lighter profile. Rugged Tackle's North American field testing found the same key advantage as the Big model: it can be fished exceptionally slowly while still moving water and giving pike and musky a living target. Why It Works Bucktail body pulses on speed changes and expands during pauses Replaceable Mini Double Tail stays active on a slow retrieve Rear screw accepts alternate soft-plastic trailers for different seasons and depths Wire-through construction helps withstand powerful predator strikes Lighter size is comfortable to cast on medium-heavy predator tackle How to Fish ItUse a super-slow steady retrieve in cold or shallow water, add a pause-and-jerk cadence around cover, or switch to a paddle tail and BFT Tungsten Fastach weight when summer fish move deeper and become more active.Rugged Tackle Field Notes Spring: Use the double curly tail high over shallow weeds with a super-slow roll or pause-and-jerk retrieve. Summer: Switch to a paddle-tail trailer or add a BFT Tungsten Fastach sinker when fish move deeper and respond to more speed. Fall: Return to a large curly-tail profile, slow the bait down and use longer pauses around feeding areas.
