Great colors, deep shadows, and a wonderful vantage point made possible by a late summer drought drew me to this subject along the Middle Prong River in the Great Smoky Mountains. Unusually low water levels on the river enabled me to get this view by clambering out onto the stream boulders for a whole new perspective.
