A virtuoso cellist brings the depth and richness of the cello in 13 textures including Staccato, Forte, Tremolo, Legato, Pizzicato, and a few vintage synth strings, all tracked meticulously to preserve the sonic integrity of the wood and string. With ribbon mics, tube preamps, and large diaphragm condenser mics, we meticulously sampled the entire fretboard, at 3-5 unique velocities. We did that with pizzicato, tremolo, long sweeping tones, unpredictable arpeggios, and short staccato hits. Each note is unique, each velocity is unique. We also love the synth string tones of the 70’s so we sampled two of our favorites from that era. Use all 13 of these textures as solo instruments or blend them in infinite configurations to create brand new hybrid tones.
