To knit the Stripestep Socks, you can pick a kit featuring one solid colour skein of sock yarn paired with a ball of self-striping sock yarn. The front of the leg and top of the foot are knitted flat in garter stitch stripes. The back of the leg is knitted flat in stockinette stitch, seamlessly joined to the edges of the front leg. A garter stitch heel flap flows into the bottom foot stripes, which are also knitted flat while being attached to the top foot fabric. The differently sized stripes create a playful, staggered effect that is simple to knit and striking to wear. Choose your favourite combination and have fun knitting these eye-catching socks!
