Easily remove stripped skate screws in seconds with this kit. Using this method is superior to drilling the screw out to avoid damage to the frame or other hardware. All you will need is a Hammer and a new screw to replace the stripped part. (not included with this kit). This works best if you catch them early and have not done any drilling into the screw head. Preventative: Replace your alan wrench/hex key/skate tool with a fresh one or a high quality one to prevent stripping screws. Cheaper tool heads will round off over time and that makes stripping the screws easier. Once you start to feel your hex key lose grip or spin in the head it's a good idea to replace the tool and the screw. Sonic makes our favourite Skate Tools. We use a small 2x4 under the frame. Place the Spiral Screw extractor into the stripped screw hole. -Spin the bit around slowly to find a place where it hits an edge and stops spinning. Hammer the Extractor firmly one time, the spiral bit should 'lock' into place. -If it doesn't lock in to the screw, twist the bit in the head of the screw again, find an edge, and try hammering again, a bit harder. Once the bit is securely in the screw head, use the wrench to turn the Extractor counter clockwise. The Stripped screw should come loose. Dispose of the old screw and replace with a new one.
