Angles is the fourth studio album by the American rock band The Strokes. Released in 2011, this album adopts an indie rock sound that fans have come to love. After taking a hiatus in 2007, the band regrouped two years to begin writing new material for their fourth album. Angles acted as a return to the basics and can be compared to some of their earlier work such as their 2001 debut record Is This It. The album lives up to its name by coming at you from very obtuse sonic places. Using a wide range of instruments and focusing on an array of themes within the lyrical content allows for the album to be one of The Stroke's most diverse albums yet. Show more
