Fifteenth Atlantis flight. This was the second mission to link up with the MIR space station. The Russian built Docking Module was attached to the Kristall module of the MIR. This Docking module will be used in future docking between the Shuttle and MIR Space Station. The cargo bay also carried the Photogrammetric Appendage Structural Dynamics Experiment (PASDE).
