Introducing the debut 7” single from Café Canela, a “desert soul” recording project based in the heart of the Coachella Valley, CA. The A-Side, “Stuck In Love”, is a somber yet soo thing jam that sounds like it was plucked straight from classic Chicano soul radio. Heart-tugging lyrics and a beautiful vocal performance are rounded out by a swaying, soft-soul instrumental. The B-Side, “If I Fall”, further evokes a time-capsule sound. R&B vibes are elevated by a jazzy and extremely tasteful guitar performance, further propelling the group’s sound into the modern era, while continuing to hone in on a classic and cultural sound. Both songs were recorded at a home studio with minimal gear. The A and B side feature Johnny Lopez on vocals and Emanuel Cazares on every instrument. Songs produced by Emanuel Cazares.
