The machine and thread are knitted slowly, utilizing the weight of the yarn and fabric itself, without applying any unnecessary tension to the fabric. This slow process creates a unique texture with just the right amount of unevenness, as if air were woven into the fabric.The natural unevenness is also a distinctive feature of bengara dye, a natural dye.Bengara is an iron oxide extracted from the soil and is also known as rengara or bengara, and its name comes from its origins in the Bengal region of India.A material that has long been deeply rooted in Japanese life, it has been used on pottery and lacquerware, as well as for lacquering houses for its insect- and rot-resistant properties.
