A robust and beautifully thrown studio pottery pitcher with a commanding presence, its dark brown and black glaze applied in loose, expressive strokes that catch the light with a r ich, lacquer-like sheen. The wheel-thrown body shows the marks of the potter's hands in its ribbed surface, while the pulled handle and pinched spout speak to the confident, direct technique of an experienced hand. A signed piece of considerable character and quality. SIZE 6.5"L x 5"W x 9"H MATERIAL Stoneware ERA 1970s ORIGIN United States NOTES This is a vintage piece and shows age-appropriate wear throughout. Signed by the artist on the base. Minor surface scuffs consistent with age and use. Show more
