Nicely weighted and comfortable in the hand, the blade balances just in front of the heel measuring a 8.25” (209mm) blade and 13” (330mm) overall. The blade holds a nimble rocking motion and comfortable grip, built for use and working the hardened and sharp cutting edge in a culinary setting. The blade is crafted with the 4.5 billion year-old comet, the Muonionalusta, in a specialty alloy mixture ,“Stardust”, consisting of high carbon steel powder and thousands of particles of meteorite iron in bright specks across the blade; representing the beautiful sky from which this magnificent iron derives... The pattern in the blade tells the story of Styx, the river that serves as the boundary between the mortal world and the underworld of Hades in Greek Mythology.
