This coffee comes from Finca La Lindosa, located in Palermo, in the Huila department of Colombia. It is mainly produced by the Cerquera family, who have been growing coffee for several generations, and complemented by lots from neighbouring producers. The farm carries on a family tradition of more than 60 years in coffee production. Today, the work is guided by a constant focus on renewing coffee plots, applying good agricultural practices, and selecting disease-resistant varieties recommended by the Colombian National Coffee Federation and its research centre, Cenicafé. During the harvest, the coffee is picked and sorted by hand. It is then fermented for 12 to 24 hours before being dried in the sun or mechanically, depending on the conditions. The main harvest takes place between May and July, with the support of permanent workers and seasonal pickers. Between harvests, the Cerquera family actively maintains the farm through plot cleaning, manual fertilisation several times a year, and the regular renewal of coffee trees. This traditional approach, combined with precise agronomic monitoring, helps produce a stable, clean coffee that faithfully reflects the terroir of Huila.
