Product Information Subwassertang moss, or the freshwater seaweed (Lomariopsis cf. lineata), is an uncommon fern gametophyte that, until a few years ago, was considered to be a liverwort or moss. This is a great low-tech plant to keep in any freshwater aquarium due to its low lighting requirements, similar to most mosses. Subwassertang moss is a slow-growing plant that is capable of growing in somewhat cold water tanks as well as tropical tanks. It grows into bushy heaps that are always a favourite hiding place for shrimp and fish fry.
