Endodontic Solvent is used for softening and dissolving gutta percha during root canal retreatment procedures.The chloroform solvent is applied to existing gutta percha obturation material in the root canal to chemically soften and partially dissolve the mass, reducing the hardness and cohesion of the set material and allowing it to be removed with endodontic hand files, rotary retreatment instruments, and ultrasonic devices more efficiently than mechanical removal alone. Each bottle contains 8 oz of chloroform solvent for use in endodontic retreatment procedures.
