The word for hyacinth in Ottoman Turkish was sümbül. This fragrant flower is one of the four flowers traditionally featured on Iznik wares. Its leaves are represented here, haloing a radiant 0.62ct emerald bezel-set in 18K Gold, and suspended from its oval frame on a swivel clasp which can be clipped directly onto a chain. The flowers of a hyacinth were often used in Ottoman poetry as a metaphor for the curls of one’s beloved’s hair. Enamel may be customised upon request. 1.3cm x 1.7cm. Show more
