Isaiah 18:4-5 “For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harv est. For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches.” Proverbs 10:5 “He that gathereth in summer is a wise man…” Summer is when we can bask in all the hard work and enjoy the sun, the warmth, and the fruits of our labors, or as Isaiah describes, the flowers become fruit to enjoy. There is relaxation and joy in indulging in the beauty and growth. But there is gathering to be done to continue to enjoy it. The flowers are described as perfect. I chose more delicate features to represent this season of life because of the refinement that comes with growth. The colors become richer and brighter as more flowers bloom. The results that came from the miracles in spring are beloved, and there is peace and happiness. Show more
