It produces vibrant raspb erry red mophead blooms in late spring and then reblooms through fall. These eye-catching blossom clusters are stunning and perfect for drawing attention next to your patio or gazebo. Like other mophead hydrangeas, you can change the bloom color! Alkaline to somewhat neutral soil will produce the characteristic raspberry red blooms. While acidic soil will produce bright purple flowers. This hydrangea bush features large, bright green leaves with serrated edges coming to a point on the end. Furthermore, the Summer Crush has waxy cuticles that prevent midday heat melt, which is a common occurrence with some hydrangea breeds.
