Vast fields and meadows are coated in colorful wildflowers, like Lupin, Indian Paintbrush, and Lilies. Crisp and vibrant greens tangled with rugged and aged fallen timber help complete the magical settings. In this painting I wanted to add new life with the old. While the old withers away, the new comes back every season. I decided to add the elk calf as if it was lost in its own world distracted by a couple Tiger Swallowtail butterflies. - Jason
