Still Over It, the sophomore album by multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records), has finally arrived. The 20-song project is a chronological progression of stories, as evidenced by their titles: beginning with “Bitter” (narrated by rap superstar, Cardi B) and culminating with “Ciara’s Prayer” (narrated by R&B icon, Ciara). The impressive track list also boasts appearances by JT (City Girls), SZA, Lil Durk, Pharrell Williams and Omarion. Summer’s unique proclivity toward delivering raw, gritty lyrics in a softer, melodic manner has helped to propel her celebrity and is captured perfectly on the album’s lead single, “Ex For A Reason,” alongside JT. The single has already amassed over 11 MM US streams while reaching #6 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart; her 14 th top 10 appearance. As part of a month-long promotional campaign, Summer’s Hard Drive took to the streets making appearances and hosting advance listening sessions for contest-winning fans.
