Native grass This native grass grows prolifically along the edges of the sand dunes on southern Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, where I spent all my summers as a child and youn g woman, and still return to whenever I can. I don’t know what it is called – we used to call it pussywillow, but it is mostly certainly not the weed that most people associate with that name. If anyone knows what it is called, I’d love to know! Anyway, it reminds me of long hot summers spent on the beach and roaming the sand dunes. It tickles. It makes me happy.
