As its name indicates, Melissa's Sumo Citrus® are very large, about the size of a Valencia orange, with a distinct "knob" at the top. This new Mandarin variety is seedless, extremely easy to peel, very juicy and sweet. Sumo Citrus® have very little pith (the white part of citrus), allowing the fruit to section easily with less of the white "netting" having to be cleaned from the fruit. Eat out of hand or add to salads and desserts. Choose citrus that feels heavy (juicy) for its size with a skin that is bright not dull in color.
