These wool tops are a gently Polwarth wool and mulberry silk blend fibre of the highest quality. Soft and long fibres approx. 22-24 micron with good bulk are perfect for hand spinn ers. The ribbons of silk take the colour differently and make it beautiful for weaving and felting. Approx 6cm – 10cm wide 90% Polwarth mixed with 10% Mulberry silk Fibre comes as a 100gram plait. This is a non-superwashed product and as such gentle handling is recommended (unless you are felting, then go your hardest!). This wool is grown on the ancestral lands of the Polwarth breed at Tarndwarncoort. While the silk is imported, rest of the product is entirely Australian grown and manufactured. The farmer, the shearer, the scourer, the top-maker are all located in Victoria. Show more
