These are NOT your typical dried out sun-dried tomato. These all-natural work horses of the pantry are meaty, plump, and succulent! Without even tasting these De Carlo Sun Dried To matoes, you know they are going to be spectacular! Their color is a rich red and they're not hard and dried out, like most dried tomatoes. They are all natural and do not contain sulfites, which is very uncommon. Originally created by peasants due to their need to preservice nutritional foods for lean periods, these organically grown sundried tomatoes are made by drying Puglia's plum tomatoes naturally in the sun. Perfect on croutons and toasted bread, best served with typical Apulian mozzarella, in sandwiches, in pasta or even with grilled red meats.
