Luke Chiswell's Working Titles series originates from provisional titles for artworks that may never be realized, using an asemic approach to writing influenced by Chiswell’s exper ience of dyslexia. Existing between language and drawing, these gestural marks are translated from found materials into large-scale screen prints, elevating fragments of possibility into finished works. Through acts of preservation and transformation, Chiswell invites viewers to reconsider where significance resides: in beginnings or endings, ideas or objects, and the moments that might otherwise be overlooked or discarded.
