Sundancer Daisy (Tetraneuris (Hymenoxys) acaulis var. ivesiana) is a tough, low-growing perennial native to the Intermountain West, known for its bright yellow, daisy-like flowers that bloom from spring through fall. One of my all-time favorite native flowers, this reliable, drought-tolerant wildflower thrives in well-drained, sandy, or rocky soils and is highly attractive to native bees and other pollinators. Its fine, grass-like foliage forms neat, compact mounds, providing year-round texture and visual interest. Due to its slow-spreading, low volunteer nature, Sundancer Daisy can work well in more formal gardens and low-maintenance prairies, meadows, and xeriscapes alike.
