An FEA-optimized motor was designed in-house and features a full 6mm one-way linear excursion - thanks to a carefully designed motor and extended pole piece. To increase thermal performance, the SA midrange features a vented magnetic gap and vented voice coil collar. The SA series silk dome tweeter matches the smooth sound of the midrange. After extensive testing, Sundown optimized the tweeter’s gap, dome material, lens, and chamber damping material. The results speak for themselves.
