Helianthus maximiliani A beautiful native perennial that blooms in August and September. Features clusters of three to four inch wide showy, bright yellow flowers and grows a statu esque three to ten feet tall. A great landscape and garden plant and an important wildlife habitat species. It provides dense cover, substantial volumes of seed for birds, and nectar and pollen for pollinators. Tolerates a wide range of soils, and is drought tolerant. Easily established by seed.
