A summer afternoon caught mid-flight — sunflowers turning toward the light, a dragonfly pausing just long enough to be noticed. Sunflowers and Dragonfly combines detailed black and white ink work with a warm splash of yellow watercolor, bringing one sunflower into full bloom while the rest of the composition hums quietly in the background. The dragonfly adds a moment of unexpected delight — delicate, iridescent, and perfectly at home among the petals. This piece is a departure from my usual practice. I painted Sunflowers with just the two flower heads, and then digitally added the dragonfly from Dragonfly Repose. I was experimenting, and loved the results!
