About This Print Sunken Color was captured at Abraham Lake in central Alberta during the peak of fall color, one of the most surreal natural phenomena in the province. When the reservoir level rises in autumn, the preserved trunks of drowned aspen trees emerge from the shallow shoreline, glowing amber and gold beneath and above the waterline simultaneously. James drove out many times before the light, wind and color aligned. This is one of those images that feels earned. This is a limited edition Master Collection fine art landscape photography print, available on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm cotton rag paper and as an acrylic face mount, the same archival standards used by fine art galleries worldwide. Abraham Lake sits in the David Thompson Corridor approximately two hours west of Red Deer, Alberta. Produced in a strictly limited run, hand-signed and numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Once the edition sells out, it will not be reprinted.
