The increased water repellency prevents water absorption which decreases the strength of nylon lines. The specific gravity of this version was reduced to 1.10 from 1.14 to increase buoyancy. which is normal for most nylon lines. A proprietary material blend was developed to achieve these improved features while not reducing any strength to the line which can happen with normal blended nylons. Finally, Fine Float features Sunline’s proprietary Plasma Rise treatment as the final step in manufacturing. This molecular surface treatment is much more effective than a traditional coating and makes the line last longer, cast further, have greater abrasion resistance and improve longevity of this line.
