Zipporah chose Shemesh-Barbur as her artistic name: *shemesh* is Hebrew for “sun,” and *barbur* for “swan.” The name reflects the qualities that inspire her work—the sun’s light, warmth, radiance, and joy, and the swan’s grace, gentleness, beauty, and quiet wonder.
