I used to live in Las Vegas, and my favorite part of the city is the Arts District – it’s away from the high rises, full of local shops and restaurants. The main event every month in the Arts District is First Friday, when everyone takes to the streets for a night of fun. There you will find flocks of skateboarders whipping around streets, food trucks with all types of aromas, and hip twenty-somethings trying to outdo each other with their fashion. Just as the sun sits on the horizon and dusk hangs over the district, there is an air of melancholy, of ambition, of desire. The possibility of anything being possible for one night only. “Sunset Corner” is meant to capture that feeling of being at an intersection, heart full of ideas, and trying to decide which adventure to embark on. 5 x 7 in, cold press paper.
