Marianne is an emerging and self-taught Korean-Canadian artist. In 2025, she was the recipient of the Gladstone House Award at the 64th Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (TOAF), and her artwork was selected for the Art with Heart Casey House silent auction. She has been accepted to show in numerous juried exhibitions in Toronto galleries, as well as in multiple editions of the Artist Project and the TOAF, two of Canada’s major contemporary art fairs for independent artists. In 2021, her painting my Algonquin was chosen for, Brooklyn, NY based, Visionary Art Collective’s juried online exhibit Revelations. Originally from Montreal, Marianne graduated McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce. She subsequently earned her CPA/CA designation while working in auditing and management consulting before pursuing her passion for art. She now lives and stays creative in Toronto. Radiating warmth and light, my paintings explore atmosphere, memory, and the emotional experience of landscapes. Drawing inspiration from Canadian and imagined environments, I build luminous surfaces through thin layers of acrylic paint, creating dreamlike spaces where colour becomes a carrier of feeling and recollection.
