Sunshine & Lollipops is a quilt with a theme of celebration, fun and whimsy. This quilt is full of cupcakes and party hats, monkeys doing cartwheels, ducks being wild and free, cat s soaring the skies, elephants enjoying time with their favourite friends, tea parties, bunches of flowers, and of course happy shoes ready for a happy dance, not to mention.....sunshine and lollipops!! The whole quilt is bordered with triangles to represent a garland ...something that I always associate with joy. You could fussy-cut some images where there is something in particular to encapsulate in the fabric, and in other areas, you can stitch a little circle stitchery to add to the circle theme running through the quilt. There are 6 parts to this quilt, all with needle-turn applique, machine piecing and some stitchery, and just a little English paper piecing.
