3"³ Battery Spot Welder Electrodes These electrodes are use with Sunstones WH2 weld head for battery welding applications. Choosing Your Variant: 1/8" or 1/4" Electrode Diameter These battery welding electrodes come in two diameter sizes. The right choice depends on which WH2 weld head variant you have — the electrode diameter must match the head's holder size. Beyond compatibility, diameter also affects weld spot size and the amount of current the electrode can carry. EL125BATT — 1/8" (0.125") Diameter, 1 Pair For use with the WH2125 weld head (the standard configuration). The 1/8" electrode features a 1/16" step on each side, creating a narrow tip that concentrates weld energy into a small, precise spot. This is the correct electrode for most standard nickel strip battery tab welding on 18650, 21700, and similar cylindrical cells. If you're unsure which size to order, and you have the standard WH2125 head, this is your electrode. EL250BATT — 1/4" (0.250") Diameter, 1 Pair For use with the WH2250 weld head (the upgraded configuration). The 1/4" electrode features a 1/16" step on one side and a 3/32" step on the other, giving you two usable tip profiles in one electrode for added versatility. The larger shank carries more current without degrading, making it the right match for higher-power welders, thicker tab materials, or applications where the 1/8" electrode shows wear quickly. Note: These electrodes are sold in pairs and are designed specifically for the Sunstone WH2 weld head. They are not interchangeable between WH2125 and WH2250 head variants. If you're unsure which head you have, check the model number on your weld head — WH2125 takes the 1/8" electrode, WH2250 takes the 1/4". Struggling to know what electrodes to use?
