Ultra-light design, rigorous and reliable To achieve this level of performance without compromising on weight, the internal structure of the SAVAGE 2 has been optimised down to the smallest detail. The fabrics, inspired by its big sister the WILD 2, are renowned for their lightness. The colourful unsheathed line set ensures excellent readability both on the ground and in flight. The risers have been developed specifically to optimise accelerated steering: the B-risers are reefed to limit deformation of the airfoil and guarantee maximum coherence by acting on the glider’s entire incidence. What is 2.5-line design? The SAVAGE 2 adopts a 2.5-line design—a technical choice between the architecture of 3-line progression gliders and the more efficient 2-line design. In this configuration, the glider retains three rows of lines in the centre to ensure an excellent airfoil and high passive safety, but only two rows at the tips, which significantly reduces drag. This compromise delivers performance inspired by a 2-liner—improved glide, better air penetration, and more effective rear steering—while retaining the comfort, forgiveness, and passive safety of a 3-liner. At the same time, optimised materials make the glider lighter and more compact, a real advantage for hike & fly.
