All parts are harvested from Certified Organic Echinacea purpurea plants from farms in southern Oregon. Herb Pharm harvests the leaf and flower in the summer, while the seed and root are harvested each fall. The root, seed, and leaf and flower are extracted separately according to their unique biochemical profiles and then blended to ensure a broad-spectrum formula. The herb is extracted in small batches with Certified Organic cane alcohol for potency and to maintain the balance of phytochemicals as they exist in the plant. Herb Pharm assures herb identity via macroscopic and organoleptic analysis, then confirms it through methods such as HPTLC fingerprinting specific to each herb.
