Why the Long Face? Axebeak (PL 9), a gangster with a distinctive face, has made a name for himself as a violent enforcer for the Calabria family. With his distinctive appearance and skill for violence, Angelo was a shoe-in for the Calabria’s top-level enforcers. He served the family loyally for several decades, until the costumed hero Recluse exposed the Calabria family, all of their business dealings, and their lists of police officers, judges, and local politicians on the take to the New York District Attorney. Moving to Chicago, Axebeak found a new ally with the Apparition, who was turning the Windy City into their own criminal playground. Under the Apparition’s protection, Axebeak opened several nightclubs used to launder money for the Apparition’s criminal operations. Super Powered Legends.
