The Super Sioux tomato is an improved version of the classic "Sioux" variety first developed by the University of Nebraska and released in 1944. Plants produce excellent yields of uniform, perfectly round, red tomatoes weighing 4 to 6 ounces each. Super Sioux tomatoes have a full-bodied flavor with an excellent sweet-acid balance that was a hallmark of these old-fashioned varieties. This heirloom tomato variety is the perfect workhorse for serious canners as its heavy productivity and uniform size makes quick work of filling jars. Indeterminate type.
