At the core is a self centering wedge that is machined into the puller that perfectly centers the tab when force is applied. The wedge naturally centers itself, keeping the force aligned instead of allowing the tab to torque or walk. That means your pull stays honest—even when your hand isn't perfectly straight (because none of ours are). These tabs are also intentionally taller than standard round tabs. That height isn't cosmetic. It creates a controlled flex zone above the glue line.
